The main airport is Rome’s Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo da Vinci Airport). This airport lies 35 km from the Hotel Lord Byron, from the centre of Rome’s historic city centre and is one of the busiest airports in the world.
The airport Ciampino (G.B. Pastine) is situated 30 km from the Hotel Lord Byron. From both airports, guests can take a licensed taxi or ask the Hotel Lord Byron to arrange for transportation.
From Fiumicino Airport take the A12 direction Rome GRA. Take the exit 30 direction Aurelia. Merge onto GRA and then take exit 3 for SS2/Cassia toward Roma Centro. Keep right at the fork to continue toward Via Cassia/SS2. Keep left at the fork and follow signs for Roma.
Take a left turn onto Via Cassia/SS2 and follow the road to Corso di Francia. Exit to the left onto Viale Maresciallo Pilsudski. Turn right onto Via Guidubaldo Del Monte and right onto Via Filippo Civinini. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Piazza Bartolomeo Gastaldi and continue onto Via Luigi Luciani.
Take a slight right onto Piazzale Don Giovanni Minzoni and turn right on the third street, Via Giuseppe de Notaris. You will find at number 5 of the street, the Hotel Lord Byron.
The Leonardo Express runs between the airport and Termini train station every 30 minutes. From the station you may reach the Hotel Lord Byron by taxi, a 10-minutes drive.
The city is easy to explore on foot but Rome has an efficient public transport system that includes trams, buses, suburban trains and the metro – Flaminio is the closest metro station.
